“How can I memorize new words without studying?”
You're on vacation and see a word you don't know on a roadside sign or on the menu.
Or your colleague uses a word during a meeting that you would like to use form now on too.
Hearing a word once and then remembering it forever is not for everyone.
So what can you do to actively incorporate these words into your vocabulary? Without actually studying?
Try this:
- Create a meeting in your digital calendar and write the new words in the title.
- Schedule this “meeting” for a few days later.
- On the day of the “meeting” your calendar will automatically display the words on your screen and voila: repetition moment #1.
- Read the words attentively once and postpone the “meeting” to a few days later.
- There comes repetition #2, and so on!
- You keep postponing the "meeting" until you know the words by heart.
This takes no time and works effectively. Tested and approved!
Tip #1: Write no more than 5 words per agenda item.
Tip #2: It also helps for some people to write the words by hand each time. This requires less than 1 minute of time.
Have you tried this method before? Do you have another tip for easy vocabulary memorization?
